"Am I the only one who felt like diversity looked better on paper?"
Am I the only one who expected the campus to feel a lot more mixed than it actually did? On paper, it seemed like there would be a real sense of diversity and inclusion, but in person, a lot of groups felt separated. Even in classes, I didn’t really get that inclusive vibe I was hoping for. Maybe other people had a totally different experience, but for me it was disappointing

"Pretty quiet socially, and I’m not sure where all the fees go"
The social scene at CSUF has felt dead most days. A lot of people seem to just show up for class and head straight home, so unless you already have friends there, it can be awkward trying to meet anyone.
I know there are clubs and events, but they don’t always feel super active or easy to jump into. Maybe I’m missing something, but it hasn’t really had that welcoming college vibe I was expecting.
It also makes me wonder a little about all the extra fees students pay, because I don’t really see much happening socially on campus. Overall, it feels more like a commuter stop than a place where people actually hang out, which is kind of disappointing.

"The programs felt hit or miss. Some classes..."
The programs felt hit or miss. Some classes were decent, but I found myself using little mental shortcuts after a while, like if the syllabus looked old or the assignments felt recycled, I kind of assumed the class wasn’t going to be that useful, and unfortunately that was right a lot of the time. Advising was also more confusing than helpful. For what it costs, I expected stronger support and a clearer path
"Wouldn’t live in campus housing again"
I lived in campus housing at CSUF, my most recent semester there really sealed my opinion. For the price, it just didn’t feel worth it. The room felt outdated, things kept breaking, and whenever we needed help, it felt like it took forever for anything to get fixed. The laundry situation was almost always frustrating, and noise from neighbors never really seemed to be dealt with. Maybe some people have better luck, but based on what I dealt with recently, I wouldn’t pay to live there again.

"My gut reaction after doing the commute..."
My gut reaction after doing the commute a few times is that it’s way more stressful than it should be. The traffic is always a pain, and finding parking just adds to the frustration. It kind of sets the wrong tone before you even get there.
"The bathrooms on campus are nasty. They..."
The bathrooms on campus are nasty. They always feel gross, like some kind of neglected dump no one wants to take responsibility for. It’s embarrassing that students have to deal with this mess every day...
"Registering for Classes Was Way Harder Than It Needed to Be"
I was just trying to sign up for my classes, but the whole process turned into a mess. The site kept crashing on me, and I couldn’t get the classes I needed. It feels like something that should be simple was made way more frustrating than it had to be.
"I was feeling hopeful going..."
I was feeling hopeful going in, but I left kind of disappointed. The faculty just didn’t seem as knowledgeable or experienced as I expected, and overall the expertise felt weak to me.

"Didn't really live up to what I expected"
I was hoping for a smoother experience, but my time here ended up being frustrating. The classes felt more crowded than I expected, and whenever I needed help, the support took longer than I thought it should. Overall, it just didn’t match what I was looking for.
"Not sure I got the answers I needed"
I tried reaching out through fullerton.edu to get some information, i found the whole thing kind of confusing. The emails I received were vague, and a few links just sent me to pages that didn’t really clear anything up for me.
I ended up asking the same question more than once, but I still wasn’t totally sure I got a clear answer. Maybe I missed something, or maybe it works better for other people, but from my experience, the communication felt a bit all over the place

"Graduation help was fine, just a bit slow"
I did eventually get the help I needed with my graduation stuff, but it actually took a few emails back and forth and a lot of waiting. Some of the staff were really nice and helpful, while others just gave short answers. The information online wasn’t always super clear either, so that made things a little more stressful. It all worked out in the end, but it definitely wasn’t the smoothest process

"Campus safety could definitely be better"
I’ve had a few nights walking around campus where certain spots felt sketchy, especially when there weren’t many people around. And this is where it got annoying: the safety alerts sometimes seemed to come in later than they should, which kind of defeats the purpose. I just think campus safety needs more attention, especially after dark.

"Internship support was a letdown"
I went to fullerton thinking the internship help would be way more useful, but it felt like I was mostly figuring everything out by myself. A lot of the listings seemed old, some links didn’t even work, and the decent opportunities were packed with applicants with barely any real guidance from the school.
The career center staff were polite, but the advice was generic, like resume tips I could’ve found online in ten minutes. I also don’t fully trust customer service-style responses where everyone sounds helpful but nothing actually gets done. For the cost of tuition, I expected real connections and support, not just another checklist.

"I felt like I had to figure out too much on my own"
The teaching didn’t really help me as much as I expected. The classes felt kind of scattered, like we’d jump from one thing to another without enough explanation in between, so I didn’t always understand why we were doing something or how it connected to the bigger topic. A few of the teachers were okay, but some of them barely explained the material and seemed to assume we already knew what was going on. Because of that, I ended up spending a lot of time teaching myself after class, looking things up and trying to fill in the gaps. I don’t mind putting in effort, but it was frustrating because I felt like the classes should’ve made things clearer instead of leaving me to piece everything together on my own.

"I tried using the site on my..."
I tried using the site on my phone and it was a mess. It was hard to find what I needed, the pages loaded super slowly, and things kept glitching. I already had to wait in a queue, so dealing with the broken mobile site on top of that just made the whole experience really annoying...

"Helpful at times, but not the smoothest process"
My experience with academic advising at fullerton was mixed. A few advisors were genuinely helpful and took the time to explain which classes I needed, but scheduling an appointment could be frustrating because it sometimes took a while to get in. I also got different answers about the same thing once, which made it a little confusing. In the end, everything worked out, but personally I’d say the advising is okay overall, useful when you get the right person, just not as clear or easy to access as it should be.

"Career services didn’t really help much"
I reached out to career services for help with job searching and my resume, but the experience was disappointing. To be fair, they did respond eventually, but it was slow and the advice felt really generic. I didn’t feel like they took much time to understand what I needed, and it kind of felt like they were just trying to rush through the appointment and move on

"Clubs were kind of disappointing"
I was hoping the clubs would be easier to get into, but a lot of them felt inactive. Some meeting times kept changing, and when I tried messaging people, I didn’t really hear back. It was just... not the experience I expected, I guess.

"Getting the classes I needed was a hassle"
I kept running into this issue where the classes I needed were either already full or just not offered at times that worked for me. It made planning my semester way more stressful than it should’ve been, and it ended up slowing down some stuff I was trying to finish. I really wish the school had more seats or better options for this kind of thing, because it felt like students were just left scrambling.

"I was trying to find solid..."
I was trying to find solid sources on fullerton.edu, but the library pages made it way harder than I expected. Everything felt kind of scattered, and some of the links didn’t really take me where I needed to go. I kept clicking around hoping I was close, but mostly I just felt like I was losing time I really couldn’t afford to waste.
